Money Farm 2

When a developer releases a slot sequel it’s typically down to one of two things: laziness or popular demand. If it’s the former, they’ve simply ran out of ideas and have shrugged and gone ‘Sod it, let’s put out a sequel’. If it’s the latter – popular demand – they’ve caved in to pressure, or have at least been astute enough to recognise that their original game in the series was a little bit special. That’s certainly the case in Money Farm 2, for the original Money Farm was a beauty, and the follow-up looks every bit as gorgeous.

The premise behind Money Farm 2 is a simple one: there’s a farmyard populated by cartoonish animals along with riches beyond compare – gold specifically. Your task is to root out those riches while demonstrating that where there’s muck there’s also brass, or rather gold in this instance.

Down on the Farm
Money Farm 2 is a 5-reel slot set within a standard 5×3 layout. In the background, a classic American farm can be made out complete with windmill, tractor and wooden farmhouse. It all looks idyllic. Instead of the usual blue skies and green pastures, everything has been washed in a sheen of gold.

Money Farm 2 is a 25-payline game with a line bet that can be set between 0.01 and 0.5. The number of paylines is fixed but at least you can adjust the line bet, which can be set at a maximum 12.5 per spin. That’s not nearly as much as most slots will let you wager, but it’ll have to do. The symbols are made up of an even split between playing card values and animals.

Creature Comforts
With the maximum bet settings enabled, the goat, dog, pig and sheep are worth between 300 and 450 for 5, with the cow coming in at 500. Ruling the roost though – quite literally – is the rooster, which serves as the game’s wild symbol. It’s worth 1,000 for 5 and will substitute for all regular symbols. That just leaves scatter, which appears in two incarnations, a silver and a golden egg.

The moral of the story then: if you encounter a goose laying golden eggs, don’t stop to ask why. Just take that opportunity that’s thrust at you with both hands and make hay while the sun shines, to throw in another farmyard analogy. In Money Farm 2, three or more scatters will earn you 12 free spins, with two reel sets coming into play. The slot also has a gamble feature that will enable you to double any win if your luck’s in.

The Best Farmyard Slot?
Money Farm 2 is an excellent game, one that’s a pleasure to look at and a joy to play. It all starts with the colourful cast of creatures who rock up on its reels, imbuing the game with a fun vibe that permeates every element of this 25-payline slot. Aside from the kick-ass graphics, we’ve got the features themselves, with the golden and silver eggs providing ample ways to win big once those all-important free spins kick in. Money Farm 2 might just go down as one of the best farmyard slots on the market, and that’s no mean feat considering the strength and number of other titles it’s up against.
