Castle Blood

Castle Blood Review (GameArt)
For Castle Blood, the developer chose a vampire theme that seems to mimic a series of similar films in which Kate Beckinsale played, and one of the characters actually looks like a video game version of that actress. Whether it’s an intentional clone of that movie series, or just a coincidence, there is no way to know. The developer of the game is called GameArt.

They chose a layout which involves the use of 25 fixed lines, on a total of 5 reels. If you check out the features, you will find that it offers a wild symbol, a scatter and free spins. As for the big reward of the game, it will reach $7,500.

Betting and Prizes
The game will ask you to select a line bet only, since the number of lines is fixed at 25. You can set the line bet anywhere between $0.01 and $0.50. The resulting total bet will vary between $0.25 and $12.50.

The majority of the winning combinations offered by the game will have low values, but the scatter can pay a little bit more, with its biggest reward being worth $7,500. The average RTP looks ok, being at 95.30%, but it could’ve been better as well.

Castle Blood Features
The middle three columns are going to have wild symbols appear on them. These are the symbols which show male or female vampires, the two characters with black hair being shown in them. The wild symbols will be replacements for the other symbols, with the exception of the scatters. They are obviously not going to be capable of granting you any prizes.

Moving on to the scatter symbol, its image seems to be that of a golden bat, set against a round metal pendant. The symbols of this type are required to appear a certain number of times, before they can be of any use, but luckily it’s not important where exactly they show up. With three or more you can get paid, the rewards reaching up to 600x the total bet.

As for the free spins, that feature can be reached through three or more scatter symbols. Between 8 and 20 free spins will be triggered this way. The feature can be retriggered with as few as two scatters, though at that number of symbols you would get only 5 rounds. During free spins, wild symbols have multipliers to apply, depending on the type of wild and on the reels on which they appear. Multipliers vary between 2x and 5x.

Theme & Design
The action of Castle Blood naturally takes place near a castle, one from Transylvania most likely. You can see a dark looking castle in the background image, with every bit of it and the surrounding weather effects shown in a threatening gray. The reels are more colorful, and their images show us the usual mix of poker cards, plus images of werewolves, a glass of blood, pendants, the castle, jewelry and the characters, which all seem to be vampires. I quite enjoyed the graphics quality of Castle Blood, that’s one thing about it that I doubt anyone will have something negative to say about.

Conclusion
Castle Blood is a fairly typical slot machine for GameArt, the developer continuing to release games with good designs and fairly normal features, without much unique stuff thrown in there.
